educational  program  for  families,

caregivers  and  friends  of  military

 service  members  and  Veterans.

can learn skills on how to better manage symptoms, get

treatment, and support the people we love.

Transitioning to civilian life after active duty

shouldn’t be a solitary journey there is

help available and people who care.

Veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness

and their family members. Friends and supporters can

make the call to or chat online with the

National Call Center for Homeless Veterans, where

trained counselors are ready to talk and help.

There is a Gardnerville and Reno Chapter of Guitar for Vets (G4V).

Guitars for Vets is dedicated to sharing the healing power of music

with Veterans experiencing combat-related stress. Volunteers provide

free private guitar instruction (and a “loaner” guitar for practicing) to

students who are referred through the VA.
